 Brigham [Young,] Heber [C. Kimball], John Taylor, Geo. A. [George Albert Smith], & Bishop| [George] Miller from Ottawa [Illinois] called.. [Quorum of the] 12 began to rev[ise]1| history of 42? page[s], 41 left for dinner. all| retired. 3 Poll[s]. [Brigham] Young, [Heber C.] Kimball & [George Albert] Smith| commenced reading till dark 118 pages| all left. 8 read till 10 ½ = 180 page[s]| [Brigham] Young & Geo. A. [George Albert Smith] retired for home: Polis| Stout went with him.

1 Manuscript only contains the letters “rev”, the “ise” is supplied based on Brigham Young’s journal, which reads “I commenced revising the History of Joseph Smith at Brother Richards’ office: Elder Heber C. Kimball and George A. Smith were with me.”
